About us

Our Story

Established – 1977

Established in 1977, the North Bench Fire District has proudly served the residents and businesses of Boundary County for over four decades, embodying a commitment to community safety and resilience.

Our district spans more than 60 square miles, encompassing the areas north and west of Bonners Ferry and extending west of Moyie Springs. We are dedicated to ensuring that our community receives prompt and effective emergency services.

To maintain our high standards of preparedness, we conduct rigorous training sessions every Thursday evening at 6:00 PM at our Station 1, conveniently located by Three Mile Corner Store. These sessions are essential for honing our skills and ensuring that our team is ready to respond to any emergency situation.

Our mission is clear: we strive to preserve life and property, promote public safety, and foster economic growth. We achieve this through proactive leadership, strategic management, and a commitment to being a reliable all-risk life safety response provider for our community.
